Generation Alive at Windsor

Founded by Jeremy Affeldt, 3-time World Series Champion and former San Francisco Giants pitcher and his wife Larisa, Generation Alive is a movement of youth responding to needs around them wherever, whenever, however. Jeremy’s unwavering passion for eliminating the suffering of others and engaging young people to act inspired him to start the organization. Each year, GA works with both Spokane, WA and San Francisco Bay Area schools and churches, increasing awareness of needs in the community and providing youth with tangible ways to make a lasting impact. Classified Employee of the Year 2019-2020

Kathy Larsen is a calm and kind presence and a long-time district employee. She has been a Title/Lap aide at Windsor for many years, and a recess para as well. She has a loving approach and she is "the rock", for many students who need that special blend of discipline and kindness. Kathy takes care of the needs of others with thoughtful and quiet actions. She provides leadership to all our recess staff, co-teaches a recess academy for all students, is active on the PBIS committee, and is instrumental in the PAWS/PACE program at Windsor. Kathy works with the other Windsor parapros to provide nearly seamless bussing every afternoon, and works collaboratively to find a solution to make things run more smoothly when issues do arise. She has worked in the office, greeting students and parents, helping with issues from bus problems to lunch money. Simply put, Windsor staff can't imagine this school without Kathy. Congratulations Kathy!
